Hand Painted / Hand Waxed (bees wax) / 20oz Cotton Duck Canvas / Vegetable Tanned Leather
I have been working on a series of designs (this being one of them and more to come) with the intent of applying and refining my design ethos.
I aim to design products that are useful, honest and aesthetic, designed right down to the last detail and made from high-quality materials to be durable and long-lasting. The sustainability journey starts with longevity, both at a physical and emotional level.
All our choices have an environmental impact. With that in mind I choose natural, sustainably sourced raw materials, components that are long-lasting. I value timeless over trendy, few over many and plain over fancy. I aim to design products that will age beautifully and that can be revived/repaired easily. It’s about loving and caring for the product, revitalize it, repaired it, passing it on and tell the stories that it carries with its over long/multiple life.
Hand painted print and hand waxed using natural beeswax. The beeswax create a beautiful crinkled texture over time and can be easily be reapplied to improve water-resistance properties when needed.
Can be carried as a crossbody/shoulder bag or as a backpack.
As demonstrated here, it will only get better with use :)
